I’ve finished the first draft of the fourth chapter of Twelve Bells.
Still getting back into the swing of things, it’s been a long time since I’ve written so consistently. I think I’m starting to get the feel back, still making basic mistakes like info dumping and under- or over-describing things. Feels good though and hopefully I can fix these things in revisions.
It’s a little crazy, this is probably the largest bit of writing I’ve ever done, and I’m really afraid of the revision process. I’m confident in my ability to tell a compelling story, but it’s going to be a lot of work to get it into shape for the publishing industry.
I’m trying not to think about that right now, my goal is just to get the first draft complete. I can think about the rest after that.
